Hi everyone. It sure has been a while since I spent any time thinking about this. I figure that today is a GREAT day to start posting to the blog and make it a habit. Why you ask?
Well today is the first day of me participating in a group-coached program called Precision Nutrition. We are the charter group of 100 men and 100 women who are going to turn over our daily eating schedule to a group of nutritionists and coaches who will help us re-shape our eating habits. Additionally they are asking us to include a daily workout routine which will complement our new eating regimen. The goal of this program is to not to lose weight (although that is a nice byproduct) but to help change our existing eating and activity patterns into healthier, sustaniable ones. Finally it sounds like they're going to push us outside our comfort zone and ask us to do things we'd probably never consider. Not sure what those will be but since I love a challenge I'm looking forward to it.
One of the things that I believe in is the fact that there is always a perfect calorie for every situation. I look forward to this program because I think that it will help me identify more perfect calories than before! More to come on this one.....
So today I weigh 210.0 lbs. I have not seen the south side of 210 in a few months - in fact this is the lightest I have been for a few months! After hitting 220 one day I decided that things need to change. I got from 220 down to where I am now by paying attention but I have been between 210 and 215 for the last 8 weeks and I am sure that this program will help me get to where I want to be. So begins the experiment.
I will keep posting to this on a regular basis - I'll shoot for every day but will be happy with every other! I look forward to hearing from you on this and I'll keep you posted.
